Manuel Ramon Gonzalez, 61, of Wellington in Florida was captured by the security surveillance cameras planted in their home.
The wife who could not come to terms with the sight reported him to the police who arrived their house and arrested him.
It was learnt that Gonzalez’s highly irate wife already filed for a divorce before reporting the case to the police.
He confessed to committing the offences of animal cruelty and sexual activity with an animal and was placed on a one-year probation, according to Mirror UK.
Reports from officials disclosed that the Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control gets almost 30,000 calls annually with abuse cases taking almost half of it.
Captain Dave Walesky, Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control, said, “We do see a lot of it. A lot of times we wish there was more we could do. We wish there was stronger laws. We wish people would immediately go to jail and stay there.
“It just doesn’t make sense why people do things like that. It’s really unexplainable from my perspective. There’s no reason to justify something like that.”
