BEING THE PRESS STATEMENT DELIVERED BY
ReplyDeleteKWARA STATE POLYTECHNIC STUDENTS UNION
GOVERNMENT ON OCCASION OF A WORLD
PRESS CONFRENCE AT THE STUDENT UNION
BUILDING today Tuesday 18th 2015.
Sincerely the current status of Kwara State
Polytechnic under the able leadership of Alhaji
Masuud Elelu demands commendation, appraisal
and not condemnation and image demolition as
witness by unprofessional and unethical
behaviour of some journalist.
Having neglected the unprecedented achievement
of the institution in the current dispensation to
publish a false story calculated to defame and
assassinate the school image is nothing but a
high level of hypocrisy.
CLARIFICATIONS ON STATE OF CAMPUS
Its shameful that journalist could embark on
reporting a heavy News about an institution
without contacting the School Management
Authority or Students Union Government for
confirmation and clarification.
The truth remains that there was an attack by
unknown group of people on an unidentified
person on campus on Thursday 13th Aug 2015,
which investigation as commenced to fetch out
the culprit. The school however has ended its
second semester examination on 13th of August
2015 and officially closes all academic operations
for the session on 14th Aug 2015.
We advice the rumor of sixteen people being killed
in cult clash on our campus in relation to the
students union government election screening is
disregarded as it is far from been true, it is
hypocrisy at its peak aimed at destroying the the
reputation of the school and to kill the vibrant
student unionism the school is enjoying.
The School Authority or the Students Union
Government should be contacted for information
related to the institutions before its digested or
rebroadcasts. The polytechnic will only be
responsible for students with valid means of
identification and justification for being at point of
identification and not liable for uncertain and
ambiguous statement as widely spread by
unethical media houses.
CAUTION- WORDS OF CAUTION
Its is most unfortunate that in spite of our
patriotism and devotion to the nation, many
misinformed sections of the society still describe
us as personification of indiscipline and more
often than not, we are made scapegoat of
societal maladies. We like to warn enemies of the
current progress of KWARAPOLY to see a terrible
caution or face the wrath of the law as we vow
to take legal actions on calculated attempts to
destroy our hard earned reputation in disguise of
misconception.
VOTES OF CONFIDENCE IN THE LEADERSHIP OF
KWARAPOLY
Student union leaders are often in opposition with
the school authority when issues erupts due to
our "OLIVER TWIST" nature of always wanting
more. Still in the jurisdiction of the three
dimensional ideology of Aluta "Commendation,C
ondemnation and Recommendation" permits me
to accord the long overdue commendation on the
institution authority.
Its of high necessity to appreciate the tremendous
development of the institutions under the current
dispensation to have transform and upgrade the
polytechnic this far in no time.

confidence in the current leadership of the
institutions under Alhaju massud Elelu as a Trail
Blazer.
Conclusion
We call on the security agencies to strengthen up
there their security network in the state and most
especially in students community, also do we
appeal to whom it may concern not to see
students vicinity as a battle field or a place where
they can propagates evil. On this note we urge
media houses to be partners in progress
