The football rivalry between Nigeria and Ghana was rekindled on Wednesday at the ongoing All Africa Games and it was the Dream Team VI that secured a 2-0 win over the Black Meteors.
Two second half goals from Junior Ajayi and Kingsley Sokari ensured that Nigeria got off to a bright start in their quest for gold in the male football event of the ongoing All Africa Games.
Yet to taste action in Congo owing to the pull out of Egypt, Coach Samson Siaisia was desperate to start on the right note in Wednesday’s game against the defending champions Ghana.
Siasia had warned his players that they will need to take their chances if they are to come out victorious against their Ghanaian counterparts.
Though it was not the best of performance, the Dream Team registered seven shots on target and scored two goals.
