Housemaid Bites Mother of Three To Death and Flees

The police in Oyo state are currently investigating a case of how an alleged housemaid Elizabeth Fatoki led to the untimely death of her employer. According to Vanguard, the deceased was identified as Tawa Lawal, 30, was enagaged in a fight with the maid when she bit her breast. Mrs. Lawal, mother of three was later rushed to the hospital where she gave up the ghost a few days later. Her children are Aliya, 2; Waris, 10 and Barakat, 15. Their mother has since been buried according to Islamic rites.

While narrating the circumstances that led to his wifes death, Mr. Aliu Lawal, said that after the quarrel during which the housemaid allegedly bit her, she complained of severe headache and pains at night. He explained that she was rushed to Alaafia Hospital, Mokola, Ibadan where she died. The doctor who attended to her on her arrival, Dr. Adedamola Odebode,  said tetanus infection could not have been the cause of her death. The suspect was said to have gone into hiding after the unfortunate incident.
