Kano Pillars unbeaten streak ends
One of the most impressive records of all time was broken in the Nigerian Premier League as Kano Pillars lost to Nasarawa United.
2 goals in 5 minutes from Ubale and Bature had set the visitors on the path towards their record-breaking victory.
Ali pulled one back for the Pillars shortly into the start of the second half, but Nasarawa United held on for the victory.
The last time the Kano Pillars had lost at home was a similar 1-2 loss to Julius Berger FC on the 21st of June, 2003.
Since then, the team had gone on a 202-game unbeaten streak at their home ground.
All good things must come to an end.
