9ja Ninja's Blog: Omo Oloore Shakes Ibadan South East/North East Constituency, As He Commemorates 100 Days In Office

The Honourable Member representing Ibadan North East/ South East Federal constituey in the House of Representatives Abuja, Hon. Adedapo Lam-Adesina has once again reiterated his resolve and determination to the complete fulfillment of all his campaign promises as contained in the 9point integral action plan of his manifesto tagged Omo Oloore programmes to his constituency.

He made this affirmative statement in the commemorative occasion to celebrate his 100days as a federal legislator which was characterized by torrents of commissioning; He officially opened his two constituency offices for public use, He also commissioned an eight (8) room public toilet, deep well, official website(www.dapolamadesina.com) and educational materials for public primary schools.

In his words, "My mission in politics is very simple; I am here to put smiles on the faces of our people, change the political landscape of this constituency, raise the standard of leadership and lastly create a viable platform for motivating youths to aspire for leadership positions. For me, I will remain restless and unsettled until we change the fortunes of our people and the entire constituency for good. This I am resolute on”

Our motive for opening two different offices for the federal constituency is to bring our activities, governance and dynamic representation closer to our people. My new era technique to politics is premised on robust consultation, an all inconclusive engagement with all relevant stakeholders to bring about positive development to our constituency. I will remain available and accessible at all times. I implore all our constituents to make the best practicable use by engaging the offices for information and clarification.

The federal constituency office for Ibadan South East is located at Olatobi Gbadamosi House, Ile titun area and that of Ibadan North East LG is located beside Atipe Bridge which was formerly the party secretariat of the main opposition party in the state.

At the commissioning of the public toilet in Iso Adiye,molete area in Ibadan ,It was a carnival of sort as people trooped out in hundreds to witness the official commissioning while the market was shut down by the traders in appreciation of the good gesture of the representative.

Omo Oloore as he is fondly called by political admirers recalled his visit to the market during the campaign where the traders collectively demanded for a modern toilet facility which would cater for hundreds of traders and customers who come into the market on a daily basis. By our records and statistics, this is the biggest homogeneous fowl selling market in Oyo state, and not a functional lavatory is available. I have only done my part as a responsible and responsive representative and our intention is to assist all market men/women in our constituency with interest-free loan in due course, he stressed further.

Hon Dapo Lam Adesina also reminded people that his father was known as Mr point of order when the late great Lam was at the House of Representatives between 1979 and 1983 but he wants to be known as Mr Action man which he will demonstrate practically with the execution of all his lofty ideas.

Responding on behalf of the market, the Babaloja; Alhaji Sabitu Lawal thanked the Honourable for standing out among the multitudes. This is rare and uncommon with politicians to make promises and fulfill it speedily. We are surprised by this gesture and pledge their unalloyed loyalty and support backed with prayers. He challenged other public office holders to emulate the good virtues of this promising young politician.

At the distribution of educational materials for public primary schools, the Honourable affirmed that "Education is key to meaningful development in any civilized society" and our approach is to tackle the systemic decay and falling standard bottom-up. I am particularly concerned about primary education because this is the formative stage and a good foundation is needed to guide them to pursue a desirable career in the nearest future. I would pay undivided attention to education and it is tenaciously absorbed in our 'Omo Oloore educational development scheme ‘plans.

Community and political leaders at the different fora paid glowing tributes to the Former Commissioner for Youth and Sports, they encouraged him to do more and pursue his set objectives headlong without any iota of distraction. As a party, we would give all forms of motivation to performing representatives to do more, we are more joyful than ever seeing Hon. Dapo Lam-Adesina blazing the trail and setting the pace in this terrain.
