The Nigerian Censors Board Bans Fifty Shades of Grey

'Fifty Shades of Grey' which showed in most major cinemas in Nigeria in its first week of release, has been banned in Nigeria cinemas by the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB). NFVCB, according to cinemas, ordered the removal of the highly anticipated  movie from the list of movies showing at cinemas.

'Fifty Shades of Grey' is a screen adaptation of E.L. James’s erotic book of same name.

It revolves around a literature student, Anastasia Steele, who meets a handsome but tormented billionaire named Christian Grey, whose sexual desires are channeled to dominance (BDSM). 'Fifty Shades of Grey' was also banned in Kenya.
