Bus Kills Cops On Patrol At Keraniganj

Two policemen on patrol were killed after a bus ran over them at Dhaka’s South Keraniganj.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Md Mohsin, 40, and Constable Quamrul, 30 were with the Keraniganj Police Station.

“ASI Mohsin and some constables were patrolling the Dhaka-Mawa highway in an auto-rickshaw on Saturday night,” said Sub-Inspector Md Moniruzzaman.

“They saw a private car that suffered an accident at Mollarpur area and two of them got down to check, when an Ilish Paribahan Bus ran over them.”

ASI Monsin died at midnight at Dhaka Medical College Hospital and Constable Quamrul died at Pangu Hospital around 1am, said SI Moniruzzaman.
