Sunday Oliseh Keeps Tab On Pharaohs Ahead Of AFCON 2017 Qualifier

SUPER Eagles gaffer Sunday Oliseh has already started plotting his graph on how to beat six-time African champions, Egypt, early next year when the Eagles tackle them home and away in a pairing that would, no doubt, determine who picks the sole ticket of the group.

Daily Sunsports scooped that the coach had requested that the NFF send one of the coaches in the technical department of the Glass House to monitor the Chad versus Egypt match day 2 clash in Ndjamena on September 5, same day the Eagles would be battling Tanzania in Dar es Salaam.

According to our source, the soccer federation had since endorsed Oliseh’s request and would be sending a coach to Ndjamena with a mandate to get all the technical details of the Pharaohs, who just like the Eagles are undergoing a rebuilding process.
“We are keeping a tab on the Chad, Egypt game because we need to get all the information we can get on the Egyptians who are a big threat in the group. The NFF and Oliseh are on the same page on that,” our source said.
Both Nigeria and Egypt won their first game of the group and as such on level terms on point. But the Pharaohs are ahead on goals difference having beaten Tanzania by 3-0, while the Eagles defeated Chad by 2-0.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of NFF technical committee, Felix Anyansi Agwu had given Oliseh a pass mark ahead of the September 5 game against Tanzania. Anyansi who is the chairman of Enyimba FC of Aba told Daily Sunsports yesterday that he was impressed with the way Oliseh is building up to the match which the Eagles need to win convincingly to get past Egypt on the log of Group G.

In Anyansi’s words: “I must tell you that Oliseh has done well since taking over. He is working hard to ensure that he makes a good start against Tanzania. We are impressed with what he is doing and will give him all the support he needs to excel with the Eagles.”
